A/V Program and Version: The method you need to use to locate the Name and Version of the A/V (Anti-Virus) program you are using depends on what program you are using. First check for an icon for the program in the System Tray (the area near the clock). If you find an icon right-click on it and select About.... from the menu if you see that option. This should bring up a window that lists the Name and Version of the program. If there is no About... option on the menu select Open... which should bring up the program window. With some A/V programs the Name and Version will be listed on the window that comes up, but on some programs you will have to click Help in the Toolbar at the top of the window and then select About... to see the Name and Version information. If you do not see an icon for your A/V program in the System Tray click Start\Programs and locate the shortcut to bring up your A/V program's window. As described above, the Name and Version should either be on the window that comes up or by clicking Help\About... in the Toolbar at the top of the program window. Note: If your A/V program is part of an integrated package (Norton SystemWorks for example), then the Help\About... box may have a tab for each program in the package. Be sure to select the tab for the A/V program to see the information for the A/V program. |
