Hello all - recently 'Explorer' went berserk. After a reboot, all the desktop icons had all moved at random to other icon captions. ie.the CD Drive icon was now with the Media Player caption, the Media Player icon was now with the Power Management caption and so on with ALL desktop icons. Folders were not changed apart from a 'Publisher' .pub document which swapped with the 'Publisher' icon. If I go to the Start menu, select a program and "send shortcut to desktop" a second (2) shortcut appears but with the same incorrect icon as already shown. I have done a 'System Restore' from well before this problem occurred, but no change.
Hope this makes some sense and a fix may be in the offering. Thank you in anticpation.
