I have been using a cool little free password manager now for quite a few years.  And it has not given me any problems.  It is called "Whisper32" and can be found at the below link.

Much better than keeping them in a text file.  This program is completely free howevr, it is unsupported since 2004.  It was created by an individual who wanted a cool little password manager.  It's not bulky, easy to use and very handy.  You can also carry the locked password file around on a USB drive and use it on another computer providing you have Whisper32 already installed on the other PC.
