1) Maybe the link below is one that you've already tried, but it should work according to what I see in the .zip file that you can download there.

2) The IconCache has to be rebuilt after making the modification to purge the old arrow icon from it, otherwise it'll still show the shortcut arrow even though you've modified it.

There are many different ways to do that, just restarting sometimes will do it.
