I have a combination CD-DVD drive on my Dell Inspiron 530 (WinXP SP3) which worked until (?) maybe a few days ago. Now it recognizes CDs but never "sees" a DVD. It acts as if the drive is empty when I insert a DVD. The drive is 16X DVD+/-RW Drive - HLDS Inc. HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N.

Any thoughts? A few days ago I tried to copy a DVD using Roxio Creator DE 9.0.116 and couldn't get it to work, though it did work in the past. I had all sorts of trouble with the computer freezing, etc. while trying to copy the DVD. I am guessing that maybe after that is when this DVD non-recognition problem started. I'd appreciate any advice on what to do.
