I've been here and there with no luck for my problem. Basically, it's mostly a browser hijacker, which I enter the sites in the Security's restricted sites list. I almost associate the non-support of Service Pack 2 with corrupting the Service Pack 3, somehow.
Also, I'd like to be the only user and would like to get rid of that Administrator. Thanks.
I wonder if I can export any certain portion of my tower's Registry to copy and Import to the laptop's Registry that might fix the Update problem.
Checking the update site renders a problem: Error found: Code 0x80072efe
Below are things I've found and thought I'd share if you're into lengthy reading.

How to determine whether you are running a 32-bit or a 64-bit edition of Windows:
You must know which kind of processor platform (x86-based, x64-based, or Itanium- based) that you have. Most users have x86-based processors.
If you are not sure which kind of processor platform you have, install the x86-based update on the computer.
To learn which version of Windows that you are running, or to learn whether it is a 32-bit version or 64-bit version, open System Information (Msinfo32.exe).
Then, review the value that is listed for System Type. To do this, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then click Run, or click Start Search.
Type msinfo32.exe, and then press ENTER.
In System Information, review the value for System Type.
For 32-bit editions of Windows, the System Type value is x86-based PC.
For 64-bit editions of Windows, the System Type value is x64-based PC.

Possible: This issue occurs because the Wups2.dll file that is included in the latest version of Windows Update is not installed correctly.
For scenario 1, the registry entries that correspond to the Wups2.dll file are missing after the repair install of Windows XP. The release version of Windows XP does not contain the Windows Update software.
For scenario 2, the registry entries that correspond to Windows Update are changed back to the Windows XP SP2 version if you did not restart the computer before you install Windows XP SP3.
The registry entries for the Wups2.dll file are changed to pointing to the Wups.dll file that is included in the release version of Windows XP SP2.
