2) That's not normal either, but the 3 red X's can be.
3) Without more details, it's hard to say what that means, etc.
4) That may be, however, it appears that 'something' has got its hooks into the OS pretty deep and trying to 'catch it' may be a real problem for any forum. Doing 'hands on' troubleshooting a computer for anybody trying to resolve a complex issue is completely different than exchanging posts on a forum regardless of who is doing it.
5) I would still like to see how another account acts, etc., so are you willing to add / create a new user? It should be able to be deleted later.
As I mentioned in another posting, when another account loads, it'll load another registry that has many different configurations than the other accounts. Probably 2/3 of that registry is unique to that user alone and the rest is for global configurations for any user, etc.
