Hi, Eddie, at this point, I don't think so. It's an option to consider. But for now I'd really like to get a Windows Update. I've been wondering what file executes that request. Maybe I could do a system file check on it, although I'm pretty I sure I have run the checker. I was evidently preoccupied when it finished, so don't know what I would have seen as results. I gather that it repairs corrupt files. How would I pose that command? sfc <filename>?
I've considered removing Windows Defender and Service Pack 3, and re-installing them. Do you think it will work?
